Making a presentation to the Board

If you wish to appear before the Board as a delegation, you need to submit your request to the Secretary-Treasurer’s Office in writing nine days before the regular meeting.

Your letter asking to appear should identify the spokesperson for your group; the topic you will be discussing, and the phone number or address where you can be reached.

Depending on the number of requests for delegations to appear before the Board, you may be scheduled for the next regular meeting or one sometime after that. When appearing before the Board, delegations are asked to limit their presentations to 10 minutes.

Scott Kimler is a retired scientist (MS Geophysics, Pennsylvania State University), self-taught part-time web developer and and active 8-year veteran firefighter at the North Cedar Volunteer Fire Department.

He’s worked internationally in the jungles of Sumatra, supervising 2 helicopter-supported seismic crews (2,000 crew totals); was project manager of a 3-D seismic survey & member of an evaluation team that advised an oil company on a successful, sealed bid to purchase a California oil field for $3.65 billion.
Scott retired from the oil industry in 1999 and met his wife while bicycling across the United States on a charity ride for the American Lung Association that raised over $3 million to help spread awareness for lung disease. They honeymooned by backpacking 2,560 miles from Mexico to Canada along the Pacific Crest Trail.

Scott moved to Canada in 2000 and became a Canadian citizen in August, 2014. Scott has one daughter in School District 68.
