Computational thinking is part of the redesigned curriculum. It is more than just coding.
Computational thinking is breaking it down, finding patterns, finding differences and ultimately bringing in step-by-step instruction to solve the larger problem.
Do you have ideas to support the learning of computational skills in the redesigned curriculum? Calling all Grades 6-9 teachers and educational teams; NLPS is offering a Computational Thinking Inquiry Grant Proposal. The school district will fund selected school teams.
The intent of the grant is to support teachers in planning for the 2017-18 school year.
The deadline is Monday, April 24 @ 12 noon.
How can you use computational thinking to maximize the success of all learners? More information is available here.
