Succession Planning for the 2018-19 School Year
The Nanaimo Ladysmith Public School’s Board of Education is in the process of finding the next Superintendent/CEO for the district.
In September, the Board announced that John Blain will be retiring August 2018 and that it hired Go Futures Human Resources Inc. to assist in the application and hiring process.
The Board of Education, senior staff, and partner groups have or will have the opportunity to provide feedback on what experience they feel is required of the next Superintendent. On January 5, 2018, the employment advertisement will be published across Canada, with an application deadline set for January 26, 2018.
The community will also be able to provide feedback and direction through an online survey.
This timeline will provide ample time to evaluate all the applications and conduct an extensive interview process.
The Board will continually provide updates to district staff on its succession planning for the district.
