The Tier 3 programs are being re-imagined to reflect current inquiry and project-based practices as well as provide a Response to Intervention framework. Each of the Tier 3 programs is guided by the First Peoples Principles of Learning and the Circle of Courage model.

Learning Alternatives offers a number of district alternate programs. Four of these programs offer tier 3 services to students.

Outreach Wellness and Learning (OWL)
A short-term, often part-time program, supporting students who have mental health issues. Students learn skills in mental health awareness and coping skills, as well as in self-regulation.

VAST Learning Centre
Designed for youth who are currently struggling with behaviour, social, emotional and/or addiction issues.  VAST also provides adult graduation completion to students who are over 18 years of age.

Adventure-Based Outdoor Learning (ABOUT)
Innovative approach to service delivery for vulnerable students aged 14 to 19. The program’s personalized learning approach allows learners the chance to stabilize in a supportive atmosphere that promotes success, self-esteem and confidence.

Ravens Lelum Teen Parent Learning Centre
A safe, holistic, inclusive and culturally focused program for young parents.  Students are supported alongside their children to fulfill their academic goals.  The program provides a safe place, where students feel pride in who they are and find a sense of belonging.
