On September 16, 2015 Superintendent John Blain reported on the timelines for the consultation process regarding proposed school closures.

The school consultations will include public meetings at Rutherford and Frank J. Ney elementary schools, North Cedar Intermediate/Woodbank Primary and Woodlands Secondary. There will also be a public meeting to discuss Learn@Home K–7 and 8–12.

To ensure that the district adheres to the Motion approved on September 2, 2015, the Board held a Special Meeting to approve the Facilities Plan Update timeline. The 60-day consultation process began on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 and will utilize public input tools and an advertising campaign to help raise awareness for the public meetings. The consultation will conclude on Sunday, November 15, 2015.

The 60-day consultation includes the planning process, an online survey, five public meetings, community stakeholder meetings, a public presentation evening, and a number of Business Committee and Board meetings to discuss the consultation findings.
