ABOUT SCHOOL BUSES
Bus transportation is provided for students who live outside the walk limit boundaries.

Walk limits for the provision of school bus transportation are:

a)    Grades 1-3 pupils living beyond 4 km (2.5 miles) from school will be eligible for transportation.

b)    Grades 4-12 pupils living beyond 4.8 km (3 miles) from school will be eligible for transportation.

c)    All Grades 1-12 pupils may be required to walk up to 3.2 km (2 miles) to the nearest bus stop.

Transportation Assistance: Where there is an insufficient number of eligible pupils to establish a bus route, and parents wish to provide transportation for their children, the Board may pay, upon application from the parents, a transportation assistance allowance. The amount paid shall not exceed an amount determined by the Ministry based upon the number of pupils carried and the mileage.
