Chair of the Education Committee

Member of the following committees:
• Board-CUPE Liaison
• Community LINK

Kim has been an engaged parent leader within SD68 through Parent Advisory Councils and District Parent Advisory Council and has served provincially as the President/CEO of the British Columbia Confederation of Parent Advisory Councils. Over the last 12 years, she has consulted, written, presented and facilitated positive discussions on parent involvement to educators, Ministry of Education and parent groups locally and across B.C.

Kim has dedicated most of her life to working or volunteering in the field of helping children and families; promoting the importance of relationships, positive education experiences for our children and the role parents and family members play in supporting positive learning outcomes for students.

She previously has owned and operated a family daycare in SD68 for 10 years prior to becoming a consultant for parent/family engagement in the public education system.  Currently, besides her trustee duties, Kim has returned to university as a student taking Applied Business Technology online courses.

She believes that relationships at all levels are important  and looks forward to hearing from individuals and stakeholders to help make informed decisions as a trustee, to support positive learning outcomes for all our students.

Kim is married and has two daughters who have graduated from secondary schools in SD68 and are now into their postsecondary lives.
