Nelson Allen is an experienced trustee first elected in 1993 and has served as Board Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson and has chaired the major standing committees of the Board as well as the the Facilities Planning Committee, the Policy Committee and the Audit Committee. 

He has a special interest in joint use arrangements between the school district and municipalities, to give citizens wider access to sports and service facilities.

He brings his experience as a former educator and businessman to his role as a school trustee.
