French Immersion

There are more than 1,200 School District 68 students in the French Immersion program, Kindergarten to Grade 12.  Students enter the program in Kindergarten or Grade One.  

Early French Immersion is offered at four elementary schools in School District 68:

Secondary students continue their French Immersion studies at École Secondaire Nanaimo District.

Registration Information

In-district and out-of-district French Immersion registration will begin at 8 a.m. on Monday, March 5 until Friday, March 16.

You must register at one school only, but may indicate a second choice.

Spaces will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis with priority given to students who have a sibling already registered in the school for September 2012 classes.

OUR GOALS FOR STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT
The District Achievement Contract outlines the school district's goals for student achievement.  These goals fall into three areas:
school completion
learning and achievement
