French Immersion

There are more than 1,200 School District 68 students in the French Immersion program, Kindergarten to Grade 12.  Students enter the program in Kindergarten or Grade One.  

Early French Immersion is offered at four elementary schools in School District 68:

• • École Davis Road School

• • École Hammond Bay School

• • École Pauline Haarer School

• • École Quarterway School

Secondary students continue their French Immersion studies at École Secondaire Nanaimo District.

Registration Information

In-district and out-of-district French Immersion registration will begin at 8 a.m. on Monday, March 5 until Friday, March 16.

You must register at one school only, but may indicate a second choice.

Spaces will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis with priority given to students who have a sibling already registered in the school for September 2012 classes. 

Kindergarten Parent Information Evenings:

• • École Davis Road School - Wednesday, February 22:  6 to 7 p.m.

• • École Hammond Bay School - Wednesday, February 15: 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

• • École Pauline Haarer School - Monday, February 13:  6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

• • École Quarterway School - Thursday, February 16: 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
