Programs to meet each student's needs

School District 68 is committed to the success of each student.  Because students learn in a variety of different ways, and have a variety of different needs, the district provides a number of programs to serve learners. 

School District 68 programs

Aboriginal Education - working with the Aboriginal communities to improve the academic performance of our Aboriginal students.

Career Technical Centre - a unique opportunity for students to begin post-secondary trades and technical programs during Grades 11 and 12.

Early Years - working with the community to provide programs for pre-school children.

 

 

 

School District 68 programs

French Immersion - More than 1,000 students are in School District 68's French Immersion Program from Kindergarten to Grade 12.

Harewood Family of Community Schools

Learn@Home K-7  - matches the dedication of distance education families with the resources of SD68.

Learn@Home 8-12 - a flexible way for learners of all ages to work towards their B.C. Dogwood Diploma and/or to upgrade their high school courses.

Secondary specialty academies - students combine their academic studies with special programs in  hockey, soccer, jazz or performing arts.

Student Support Services - working collaboratively with the school community to provide an inclusive learning experience addressing the diversity of student needs.

 

OUR GOALS FOR STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT
The District Achievement contract outlines the school district's goals for student achievement.  These goals fall into three areas:
school completion
• learning and achievement
