An awesome time was had by all and the highlight was the delicious quiche prepared by Chad Jobe and the senior students. Nanaimo Ladysmith Public Schools (NLPS) was recently recognized by Indigenous Education, Canada’s Future (Indspire) for demonstrating a positive impact on the success of K-12 Indigenous students in the community. Over the past five years, NLPS has advocated for a collective ownership approach to Aboriginal Education. Collective ownership can be simply described as every person in the education system embracing and taking responsibility for the success of Aboriginal students.
