b'68 HOORAYS68 Hoorays to Team Hope who participated in the Ride to Conquer Cancer event.There were seven riders, including employees Cathy Peace, Mike Zimmer, Fabian Poulin, Jacquie Poulin, Terrena OConnor and retired social worker Sheri Bourrie.The seventh rider was Marshal Ewen-Holdom whose mom works in the district.Support team included Melanie Norcutt, Ward Norcutt and Isabelle Poulin.The team raised $18,000 this year. For most, it was the second year of riding and for the team captain Fabian Poulin, it was his 8th year involved.WOW200 km of cycling in two days! 68 Hoorays! to Chris Briere from Grounds.Our back fields are often unusable this time of year because they are too wet and Chris has been helping maintain them.They have never been in this good of shape and our PE classes are able to keep using them longer than in previous years.We even have been able to host our soccer games on them.All the Dover Bay community would like to thank Chris and the grounds crew for their hard work and dedication with this!Congratulations to EducatorChad Jobe for winning the2019 Premiers Awardsfor Excellence in Educationfor social equity and diversity.A shout out also to Principal Brett Hancock for becoming a finalist in the school leadership category.Both videos are available here A big shout out to the Tour de Rock campaign.Schools held big assemblies and events to welcome the tour through our city.Pleasant Valley Elementary raised $1,500 which included an ice bucket challenge.
