Grade 5 students at Ladysmith Intermediate are currently participating in the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (DARE) program. The DARE program gives children the skills they need to avoid involvement in drugs, gangs and violence. The classroom lessons are police officer-led to help teach children how to resist peer pressure and live productive drug and violence-free lives.

The program has been educating students for more than 30 years.
