Pitch Black Radio Theatre (max 16) $180

Recreate radio-style broadcasts like they did in the 1940s! Be a cast member using scripts and microphones in one play, and then be part of the crew (live sound effects, visuals, and lighting) in the next. Use foley equipment (such as a stage door, telephones, drums and more) to create live sound effects. On each Friday, family and friends are invited to see (and hear) a live performance. Drama games will also be included daily. This camp will help foster confidence, creativity, and imagination, while having fun at the same time.  Memorization of lines is NOT necessary; however, campers must be strong English speakers and readers.

NOTE: The nature of these plays can be intense and are not recommended for sensitive campers     

*Students will be dismissed after the show on Friday.

Better Building with Buck (max 8) $30

This one-day camp is for students who would like to try woodworking and carpentry.  Participants will learn the basics of woodworking as they create their very own birdhouse from scratch under the guidance of a certified carpenter who wants to further the trade. Jordan Robertson, of Buck Robertson Contracting will guide students through each step of the process, including the use of tools to assemble the birdhouse.  If time allows, students can decorate the finished product. Not only will kids learn valuable woodworking skills, but they’ll also gain an appreciation for nature as they create a cozy home for our feathered friends.

Bike Busters ($50) (max 6)

Would your child like to learn some new skills and gain confidence on their bike?  This camp is intended for students who can ride unassisted but will benefit from additional practice and instruction.  Campers will learn bike hand signals, bike handling skills, and safe riding skills, while building confidence in a safe and comfortable environment. We will be playing games, riding obstacle courses, and more!

Get ready to work in the coffee industry! This course is geared towards budding barista’s who want to develop skills related to specialty coffee; including customer service, taking orders, and food safety. Canada Safety Council Babysitters (Max 16) $50

The Canadian Safety Council’s Babysitter Course is designed to provide aspiring babysitters with the skills and knowledge necessary to ensure the safety and well-being of children in their care. The course covers a variety of topics including child development, behavior management, basic first aid and emergency procedures, and the rights and responsibilities of a babysitter.

Participants will learn how to create a safe and stimulating environment for children, as well as how to plan and organize activities that are age-appropriate and engaging. They will also learn how to handle common challenges that may arise while caring for children, such as dealing with conflicts and addressing discipline issues.

In addition, the course emphasizes the importance of communication between the babysitter, parents, and children. Participants will learn how to establish effective communication with parents, how to build rapport with children, and how to handle difficult conversations.

Upon completion of the course, participants will receive a Babysitter Course certificate from the Canadian Safety Council, which is recognized by many employers and families as a mark of excellence in babysitting education

Introduction to the many forms and methods of processing payments and transactions. Course covers, greeting & seating, order taking, sales, customer service and uses a “hands on approach” style of instruction using a “Cafe” themed role play. Emergency First Aid & CPR Lev C  (Max 16) $75

This Starter D&D camp is a great way to experience Dungeons and Dragons for new and old players alike.  All levels of experience are welcome and encouraged, from having never played all the way to reaching the heights of level 20.

This camp is intended to grow your knowledge of the game, introduce different styles of play, and encourage you to find other people to start your own game with!

The Starter D&D camp is a great way to do all of this while playing Dungeons & Dragons, a storytelling game which uses dice to help or hinder you and your adventuring party’s plans and schemes. Jazz Combo/Improvisation Camp $90 (Max 30)

Join our Jazz Combos camp to develop essential jazz performance skills in small ensemble settings. Participants will focus on tuning, balance, blend, articulation and fundamental jazz concepts across various styles, including jazz improvisation.

Each day includes combo ensemble playing, mini masterclasses for your instrument or voice, practical jazz theory/listening and a daily faculty performance showcasing how the professionals do it.

Open to all instruments and vocalists including woodwinds, brass, and rhythm section (piano, electric or acoustic bass and drums). Suitable for ages 11-14 years.
