A special luncheon was prepared and stations were set up for students to share pieces of their culture with the entire student population. 68 Hoorays go out to Island ConnectEd K-12’s first Lego League team who won the Innovative Solution Award for their science project at the BC Regional Championships. The team decided on growing plants as a pet substitute and their innovative solution of water and soil floating away, was to grow plants in gelatin. The gelatin can provide nutrients and hold the water in place. The team was nominated by the Regional Championships to compete for the FIRST LEGO League Global Innovation Award. Go Team Lego!
