Built in 1914, Harewood School preserved its past through its grand stature, while celebrating its future. The school taught and shaped many student’s minds until its closure in 2004.  Sitting vacant for many years and becoming irrepairable, a difficult decision had to be about the school’s future.  With few expressions of interest during its closure until 2016, the Board of Education voted to demolish the building, keeping the gymnasium in tact.
