Deconstruction of the former Ecole Davis Road Elementary School building at 444 Parkhill Terrace in Ladysmith has begun. The deconstruction work is expected to be completed this fall.
The current building is being taken down to create space for a new K-7 Elementary School as announced by NLPS and the province earlier this year.
The new school building is projected to open in 2029.
Contractors will make every effort to minimize disruptions and complete the work safely and efficiently. Environmental, health, and safety regulations will be followed throughout the project, and measures will be implemented to reduce impacts on neighbouring properties whenever possible.
