Strategic Plan

Our strategic plan defines the key areas of focus as we work together to support student learning in order to achieve our vision of Success for All.

On Wednesday, September 25, 2019, the Board of Education approved the district’s new 2019-2023 Strategic Plan.

On Wednesday, June 19, 2019, the Board of Education approved a draft version of the 2019-2023 Strategic Plan document. Partner groups, district staff, students and the general public had the opportunity to provide feedback on the document, which was gathered over the summer of 2019 and was discussed at a Policy Committee held in the fall of 2019.

On November 28, 2018, the Board of Education agreed to update the district’s Strategic Plan. The primary purpose of the strategic plan is to create a blueprint for the district that helps maintain its exemplary qualities, while supporting the continuous improvement of student learning. An updated strategic plan will help organize the district around a few significant goals and will ensure that the necessary resources are in place to successfully implement the goals in a manner that is sustainable over time.

The strategic planning process established priorities for what the district will accomplish in the future. Students, parents, teachers, senior staff, district partners and the general public was involved in creating a new strategic plan.

George Farkas, a management consultant, had been tasked to engage district staff and the public in creating what will be the district’s updated strategic plan. An Environmental Scan was created to determine the district’s starting point from which to build the strategic plan.

The community was given the opportunity to provide their top priorities that they would like to see included in the plan through participation in a Thoughtexchange online engagement or by visiting the Strategic Planning Open House held on February 19, 2019.
