Students and staff throughout the district recently participated in Orange Shirt Day activities as we work towards reconciliation.  There were school-wide assemblies with residential school survivors, Elders, keynote speakers bringing awareness and education about Residential schools.

Messages of hope were written on paper t-shirts and hung around schools.  At Ladysmith Secondary, students came up with the the quote, “Together, we are stronger.” when they were brainstorming ideas to share for sample shirt messages.

Proud to see the spirit of reconciliation in our schools. Great work everyone!
