The Local By-Election will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2022. Elections and by-elections are conducted according to the rule and regulations set out in the Local Government Act which governs government elections throughout British Columbia.

  • Canadian citizen;
  • 18 years of age or older on voting day;
  • A resident within the geographical boundaries of the school district for at least 30 days immediately before;
  • Not otherwise disqualified by law from voting.

The District will maintain its COVID protocols and will require all electors to be masked the entire time they are within a District facility. Individuals unable to wear a mask will be accommodated at the DAC Annex/Elections Office pre-voting opportunity on Friday, January 7 (10am – 2pm) and Friday, January 14 (10am – 2pm). Individuals requiring such an accommodation must make an appointment by contacting electionofficers@sd68.bc.ca.
