Chantel O’Neill is passionate about education and brings her enthusiasm and experience to her new role as School Trustee.  She believes public education is one of the fundamental pillars to a strong and healthy community, and is proud to call Nanaimo Ladysmith Public Schools her home. 

Chantel has spent years advocating for working families and universally, affordable and developmentally appropriate child care.

Chantel is a labour relations officer specializing in education and facilitation on issues for working people. Her experience will be an asset when dealing with the respective employee groups in a respectful and responsive way. 

Chantel has a BA in History and a degree in Physical Education from the Vancouver Island University, attended K-12 in School District 68 and as an independent mom has returned to our district to raiser her son.
